I just received the Safe this week. Very easy to set up and use. The scanner lights up so you should be able to use in the dark. I recorded my finger print 15 times, holding it in different locations on the scanner, so wherever on the scanner I palce my finger it will open. It works very well. (Posted on 9/24/11)

Just got product today 2 days to receive 9-2-11. Greatttt product. Takes no more than 5 seconds to program and takes about 5 seconds from initiation to full open. This was an overkill in terms of size for my two home protection guns. Walther PPS 9mm for wide and Kimber 1911 Ultra Covert II. The safe would be so much better if side and back walls were padded and the bottom be of thicker padding and be made material which sticks to the metal or at least be more resistant to moving. Due to the weight of my guns, the pad easily moves when moving guns and or bullets in and out of safe. Otherwise, I would highly recommend the safe. You can always buy the slip resistant lining for cabinets and glue it to the side walls and you can do the same to the bottom just dont over hot glue it to the safe. Enjoy :) (Posted on 9/3/11)
